The Dolphins Play Arcing through the water, The dolphins play. With a smile on their snouts, They chase ships, And help swimmers to shore. Riding in the lee of the bow wave, The dolphins play. With a playful flick of their tails, They cavort, Enjoying life to the fullest. One often wonders, At whether they are, The true owners, Of this planet, And they kindly permit, Our blundering attempts, At finding ourselves. Have they? Of Stars In the dark blackness, A light appears, Then grows larger. Soon it is gone, For such is the cycle, Of stars. (C) Bruce Caruthers 1987 Ver. 1 Rev. 0 January 1987
